About the Oval Dragon Artwork:

In 1980, artist VC Johnson was commissioned by George Powell to create a dragon graphic inspired by Lord of the Rings. Due to its intended use for stickers and t-shirts, Johnson suggested an oval shape resembling a logo. The final design was unveiled at the Gold Cup contest series, where both Caballero and McGill proudly displayed it on their boards at the Upland Finals. This iconic Oval Dragon graphic was then featured on a series of affordable decks and assemblies, and remained the top graphic for all Powell-Peralta decks until it was replaced in 1987 by the Winged Ripper design.

This tee features artwork by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson, with a large graphic on the back and a small one on the left chest. Made from 5.5oz soft spun cotton jersey, it is preshrunk and has a standard adult fit. The logo is screen printed and there is an inside label as well.
